Re: Local files not synced to website/ collegues folders

Local files not synced to website/ collegues folders

If I make changes in a file or upload a new file, it does often not appear on the website or on my colleagues folders or it is lagging behind by several hours or days. If I hover over the Dropbox symbol it says indexing 3500 files, uploading 11 and downloading 1000. But this has been the case for weeks. It is stuck. We work in shared folders. I have windows 11.

Interestingly my colleagues also do not see my activity in their notifications. And when I work on a file it often says opened instead of edited. The annoying thing is that I save something and then when my colleagues want to edit it it is still an old version. But the sync should be instantaneous.

Thanks for posting on the Community, @haflaflaf!

Can you share with me the app version of your Dropbox app, as well?

Did this issue occur after a specific update on your device, and if yes, have you restarted your device since?

Let me know.

I dont know about an update, but I have restarted my device many times since. Also I did the thing in the reged already, to bring dropbox to the top (“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE” > “SOFTWARE” > “Microsoft” > “Windows” > “CurrentVersion” > “Explorer” > “ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers”.). My Dropbox is just stuck on the number of files it syncs.
