Re: Moving a dropbox shared folder to a personal dropbox folder

Moving a dropbox shared folder to a personal dropbox folder

By Windows explorer, I moved a shared folder to my personal dropbox folder

Dropbox shared folder is "commun"

My personal dropbox folder is "Secretariat"

I moved "commun" into "Secretariat" folder

I cannot move folder "commun" at the right place (not right permissions)

Have you an idea ?

Thanks

Hey @Domgram17, thanks for joining our Community!

Are you in a Dropbox Business team and are trying to move a team folder into your member folder?

Or do you just have an individual (Basic, Plus, Professional) account?

And did you receive some kind of error message, when you tried to move the folder?

Once I have this info, I'll be able to assist you better. Any other info you can think of, would also be really helpful.

Thanks!

Hi Hannah,

Yes, it's a business team.

And it's accidentally that I moved my shared team folder to my personal folder. (drag and drop)

No error message.

In my Windows explorer, I can see my shared folder into my personal folder but it's not his place.

Is there a solution to go back my shared team folder at his place ?

Thanks a lot.

Hi @Domgram17, what is the exact error you get, when you try to move the folder back to its original destination?

I'm assuming you get the same results, even when you try to use the website to do that?
