Setting external user email access, but without system sending invite email

Hello

For a business dropbox account.

Is there a way to just set up a few people (not team members) with access to a shared folder, just using their email addresses but without sending the invite email please? So, then the link/links would be sent by a normal email (not from Dropbox). So, access would still be set as "only those invited".

In a different system that I use, there is just a box to tick that says 'don't send system email invite' but the email addresses are added to the folder ok.

At the moment, we don't have such functionality in Dropbox. 

An alternative method that you could use, and that pops into my head is using a shared link instead of sharing the folder directly. 

That way you should be able to copy the link, and send it to them however you'd like. However it's important to note, that they would only be able to view and download the content, not edit it.
