Sharing and managing between a Business and Family Account

Hello,

I am the project manager of a project that spans multiple institutions. I have a Dropbox account through my institution. Team members at another institution have just created a Family Plan Dropbox account. Two questions:

1. What is the best way to share project folders with them, so they end up in their Family Room? Should I send each member (4 so far) an invitation, or can I share these folders with the family manager and have her add them to the Family Room? Everyone should have editing privileges.
2. Could the current manager of the Family Plan account give me admin/management privileges to her account, even if I am not a member of this family plan? (She can add me to her account, but I'd rather not take up a member spot if we don't have to, esp since I already have an account through my institution.)

Hi @TheLuiee 

You cannot be a part of the family room - thats for Family Plans only.  You will need to create shared folders between each account individually instead. Note that as you are outside of the family plan its going to use up quota for each member.

In terms of admin of the account, family plans can only have 1 admin and thats the person who pays the bill. It isnt possible to add extra ones.
