Here is the issue. My boss creates a folder and it is not visible in any of our dropboxes. I check his computer and the folder has no check or cloud in the lower left corner. So I create the same folder and he instantly see  my folder. He then copies the document I need to access into my folder. It does not show up. It seams that he can see our stuff and we cant see his. What is happening? He is the admin.

Hi @tdubois1, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

What device and OS is he running on his machine?

What is the current version of the Dropbox desktop application? You can find this by hovering over the Dropbox icon in the menu bar/system tray.

This will help me to assist further!

ThinkPad running Windows 10 pro. As for the version of Dropbox, I have hovered over every location that the dropbox logo is and it doesnt show anything. This has been a problem an ongoing problem for us where the online solution describes a UI that we don't see. We dont access /dropbox in an app per-se it is just a set of folders in our drive, right next to all our local folders.

Not sure if this helps.

Just for clarification, are you able to locate the Dropbox icon in the system tray near the clock using these steps?

Well there is nothing directly next to the clock but the dropbox logo on the bottom of his screen exists and when i hover over it it just says "dropbox".

That's not the Dropbox desktop application, this would be a shortcut to the Dropbox folder.

Is there no up arrow in the system tray next to the clock in which the Dropbox icon could be hidden behind?

I am sorry, but this is not where this settings box should be. Ok, so now that I know how to find this information I see that his is currently syncing 285 files. Everyone else is up to date. What might be freezing his syncing?

There are several possibilities on why the Dropbox desktop application isn't syncing. I'd recommend following the steps in this article to attempt to resolve the syncing issue on the windows machine.
