Syncing probs.

I have three Macs all installed with Dropbox that will not sync with each other.

All on the same internet configuration.

I have tried right clicking on Dropbox on each Mac and clicking on 'info' and adding each Mac to sharing and enabling read write for each one.

The two imacs- Mid 2011 High Sierra version 10.13.6

Macbook Pro- Big Sur version 11.7.6 Mid 2014

Can anyone help please?

Thanks- Martin

Welcome to our forum, @ECSMARTIN!

Can you please clarify what are the app versions of the Dropbox app, as well as its syncing status on all of your devices?

You should be able to locate this by hovering over the small Dropbox icon in your menu on each one of your computers.

Let me know and we’ll take it from there.

Nancy,

Thank you for your quick response. When I clicked on the Dropbox icon it started updating and syncing. I then did the same with the remaining two Macs and they have all synced. In the past this was done automatically. They are all saying my files are up to date.

Here are the app versions:

Mac 1 173.4.6706

Mac 2 168.4.4802

Mac Book Pro 173.4.6706

Thank you,

Martin

Hey @ECSMARTIN, thanks for all the additional information and sorry to jump in here.

Could you start by updating all the computer to the latest version of the desktop app?

You can find  the installer on this page, if needed.

Let us know if you notice any syncing issues afterwards.
