When I send someone permission to log in to one folder, they get access to all the other folders, which I do not want.

No, they dont at all. They get access to that one folder only 

 

However, if you are clicking on the link to test it then you would be able to see everything as the system detects and knows you are already logged in.

No, they dont at all. They get access to that one folder only

Thanks for your reassurance.  I checked it out with a couple of friends as well.  I looked at several alternatives, but documents I uploaded to Dropbox were the most legible.
