Why are there slow upload speeds from the desktop app?

Why are there slow upload speeds from the desktop app?

Why is upload so painfully slow for drop box?  I have fiber optic ATT with upload speed over 50 mb and it still takes over an hour to upload a 2 gb file.  My upload speed is not restricted in dropbox or anywhere else I can find.   I see tons of people with the same issue but find no actual solutions.  My bandwidth meter sits at 0.01 MB/s and then every 10-15 seconds has a short burst of 10 - 20MB/s.
Is there an actual solution?  I see people having issues with this going back years....surely there is a solution by now.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the update, it's possible there could be a browser related issue. You could try uploading via another browser to test the difference.

However, the Dropbox desktop application is the most reliable method to ensure files get uploaded to the site, and I'm glad that you were able to use that method.

Hi @ZKat2, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Is there a possibility that a proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?

Do other devices on the same network experience the same issue?

This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay,  I don't find any other bottlenecks and think I've partially resolved it.  I was dragging files with explorer from my folders to the folder in web based Dropbox which was absurdly slow.  I found that by dragging the files to my dropbox folders in Explorer gave me vastly improved upload speeds.
Thank you for your attention!
