Delete, edit, and organize
Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
If someone shares a folder with me and they have a 5TB limit.
How would I be able to edit the folder if I am out of space on my account?
Is there a setting that would need to be changed in order for me to do so.

You would need to upgrade your account to have enough available space to hold the shared folder.
Alternatively, if they have a 5TB account, they're likely on a Dropbox Business account. If they have a license available, they could invite you to join their team (if you do, create a new account for it) so you could have access to the team folder.

If you upgrade and add the shared folder to your account, or if they invite you to join their team folder, yes.
