Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
Hi everyone,
I have to replace a menu in my dropbox that has previously been linked to a QR code. I'm trying to see if there's a way I can replace the file without having to change the share link, thus having it so I don't have to change the QR code.
Thanks!

Hi @mattpinoy,
If with "replace", you mean update the file without removing it even for a moment, then you don't have to change anything else. Some software can remove the old file on save and that can make troubles. If you have met such issues, a workaround could be update a file with upload, using the web interface to avoid direct save to the local Dropbox folder.
Hope this helps.
Can you elaborate more on where I might be able to find the option to replace? I can't find it on my interface.
Hi @mattpinoy,
😃🙂 No, I can't. There is no such option! If you upload a file in particular folder with name of another (already existing) file there, the new file replace the old one. 😉 That's it.
Hope this clarifies matter.
