I suppose by default that DB installs on windows to sync the Documents folder. This is absolutely not what I want, I do not want the Documents folder to be synced, included nor associated in any way with DB. This is what is causing my DB to be full. I did move the folder to another drive but i notice it still includes my documents folder. Is there some way to modify the .ini or anything to not include the documents folder so that i will have cleared up space?

I found no such article showing how to stop computer back up in Dropbox - this is all so frustrating. I mistakenly moved the dropbox folder to another drive hoping that the my primary HD would not be included - but as you know - that didn't happen. Soooo now what do I do? I just want this madness to stop - I don't want it going to my documents folder - why can't Dropbox allow me to designate where I want it to go without having to go through so much trouble? I just want to put files in Dropbox that I want and not automatically. Please help and thanks in advance - I'm sorry for the frustration but it's really getting to me that this is so hard.

It was linked in the post directly above your reply.
I appreciate your assistance however I must not be making my point clear. In the article, it tells me to go to the backup tab - there is no backup tab in my desktop application. I deleted the files in the documents folder which freed up space but again I mention that there is no backup tab or anyway I can see in the desktop application a way to manage the backups (i.e. remove the documents folder from backing up to dropbox.) I guess I can go in each day and delete the backup files in the documents folder in the desktop application but that seems like a poor solution.
Hi @Ambassador777, sorry to jump in here.
If you check the bottom part of your Windows computer, where your clock settings are, do you see a small Dropbox icon perhaps?
If yes, please click there and then go to your profile picture/initials > Preferences. Your Backups tab should then be visible.
Let me know if you still can’t see it, though.
