Changing word formatting in substitution box

Changing word formatting in substitution box

Edalcmagal

Currently, trying to substitute the following word

test

into **test** does not make it bold. It changes it to literally **test**. Only pressing space bar or enter after the substitution is done makes it bold. Is there any way to change the formatting in the substitution box?

Hey @Edalcmagal, welcome to the Dropbox Community.

I'd be more than happy to help, I'll just need a bit more info so as to have a better visual of your concern.

For example, could you clarify where you're trying to do this? Is it in a Paper doc, in a file comment, in a Dropbox Space?

A screenshot of this (without personal info) would also be very helpful.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

It is in a paper doc. Since its in another language for me i dont know how helpful a screenshot would be, but the problem is simple; using the substitution (ctrl+f) feature to switch "test" into "**test**" does not make it bold. It makes it like this in the paper:

test.png

Typing spacebar or enter after the word finally makes it bold, but I was looking for a fast way to make all instances of "test" word in a paper doc bold with a single "substitute all" feature usage.

Hi @Edalcmagal, currently this isn't possible via the search and replace page, however, if you wish, you can suggest this change for others to vote on, so the dev team can look into this in future!
