Delete, edit, and organize
Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
Delete instructions aren't working. No option to Delete from the ellipsis nor right clicking on the file. I've a free level of account and want to remove a file to lower the amount saved.
Here's a screenshot of what I see when clicking the ellipsis.
and this from clicking the file itself
How can I get rid of a file since I've either missed something in the instructions or I'm missing the means to do as instructed?
For further information, I'm trying to do this on my desktop on the web.
It isnt possible to delete the Camera Uploads folder as this is a Dropbox system folder - hence its in a different colour.

Thanks & DRAT! Nowhere did I see that information. Guess I'm stuck with however much data it fills my account.
It doesnt fill any thing.... its empty.
Same as on a computer - folders do not take up space.

Thank you for that reassurance, Mark!
I confess someday I'll remember to get straight the difference between Folder (which holds Files) and Files. Didn't catch any of that when trying to Delete. For now I'll tell myself the time to Delete one or more of these Files is if I have something I really must add. The joys of a free account.
