I have the dropbox free account with 6.25gb of space. At the moment i am using 7.41gb of that space, so it reads on my account page. I deleted a bunch of photo's and yet this did not make more storage room.

Could someone please help me!!!!

1.   Why did It not get more storage room when i deleted these photo's.

Did i do it incorrectly ??

What is the correct mthod to do this ??

2.  How can i get more store room for free.

Hi @anthony s.8, thanks for messaging the Community!

Are you deleting files directly on the Dropbox site, or from the Dropbox desktop application?

Try deleting them from the site, since the deletions would immediately appear on the site.

You can earn free quota by trying the steps on this page.

If you need any further assistance, please let me know!

I did delete the photo's from the site but still did not get any more space.

This might also help:
If someone is "sharing a folder" from their dropbox with your dropbox PAY ATTENTION! Because it counts from your total amount too (actually it counts from both dropbox account). If the owner of the "shared folder" delete some files you will get your space back (you can also delete files by yourself but bear in mind that the files will also be removed from the owner folder. So I suggest to talk to the owner first and let hom know).

If you think this help was useful, click LIKE... and I can earn some bonus and get extra free space. Thank you.

Try checking which folders on your account take up the most space, and try deleting files from there.

You might need to delete more files than you expect in order to free up the quota, or you might have a particularly large file which is taking up a lot of quota.
