Dropbox copying folders

Dropbox copying folders

GuyB99
New member | Level 2

My Dropbox app on my hard drive suddenly started copying folders from my PC's hard drive to my free Dropbox app. I somehow stopped it but when I tried to delete the folders from Dropbox I got the below message: Delete "Foldername" from your Dropbox account and all devices? But I only want to delete the copied folders from Dropbox and permanently stop Dropbox from copying folders from my PC. I've never set up syncing. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @GuyB99, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

This prompt means that it would delete the files from your Dropbox account, and from any Dropbox folder on other connected devices.

It doesn't mean that it would locate that exact folder outside of the Dropbox folder, and then delete it from the computer.

If you need any further assistance, please let me know!
