Delete, edit, and organize
Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
When i installed dropbox on my mac it automatically started syncing a back up to the dropbox folder. I immediately pressed stop. it has now deleted the majority of my files everywhere on my mac. I have looked in the dropbox folder online under deleted files and it has not got the files it has deleted. Very frustrating. Does anyone have any advice on how to retrieve files that Dropbox has deleted on mac?

Hi Megan,
thanks i have tried looking in the mac bin but there is nothing in there.
There are so many files missing i wouldn't know where to start.
Hey @Richard211221!
Can you take a look at your events page to check the activity of your account, and if files were added there?
Also, please search for Files on my computer.
