Dropbox file comments notifications - why so slow?

Dropbox file comments notifications - why so slow?

Rob Kothe
Explorer | Level 4

We have some hundreds of instruction videos in Dropbox . When users make comments, it takes 1-2 days to receive email notifications of these comments. Why?

This delay automatically slows creativity, why do the email notifications take so long?  Why cannot they be dispatched in real time?

Hey @Rob Kothe, I hope you're doing well!

Does this happen to your account personally?

Do you notice this behavior with all of your comments, regardless of the file?

Let me know, and we'll take it from there!

Yes, emails notifying of comments arriving two days after the comment, that happens to my support email address and to work colleagues

Happy Friday, @Robert K JSS Tech

It sounds as if your email provider is restricting the Dropbox emails and delaying them.

Have you checked in with them about this?

Megan,

Hmmm, don't think its my email provider, the largest in Europe, emails from Dropbox support come thru in real time.

If you really want to prove this is your clients email provider, I am sure Dropbox has the resources to show the community an example of File comments notification email coming thru instanteously.

Lets see it.

Just how long are email notifications on file comments supposed to take?
