Dropbox not updating files but shows up to date

Dropbox not updating files but shows up to date

I recentley changed computers, but before I did I made changes to files on my dropbox.  They had synced and were updated.  I am now using the new Mac and dropbox says is it up to date and synced.  The problem is that it shows the files were last updated in 2019 which is defintley not the case since I just updated them 2 weeks ago.  I have been chatting on FB with support, but have not heard back as to how I can restore these files.  I also checked the app on my phone and the files are not updated there either.  Please help!

Hi @superstina; welcome to our Community and thanks for using Dropbox!

Assuming that you're looking at the correct account and if those files were indeed syncing before you changed computers, there must be a sign of them on our website.

Can you let me know if you can see them anywhere in your account online and perhaps try accessing a previous version of those files to see when they were edited?

While we're at it, you can also take a look at your events page as this is the place where all uploads, edits and deletions are normally logged.

Keep me posted on your findings!
