Hi Megan, I guess I'm referring to the computer backup. I continue to get messages telling me I need to upgrade to a larger storage plan. I don't want my PC backed up on the Cloud.

Hey @dcurtis76, can you clarify if you've disabled Computer backup?

If so, have you moved your PC content out of your Dropbox folder? Can you send me a screenshot of the message you've received?

Our PC still shows under the Dropbox folder in File Explorer.

Hi @dcurtis76, I hope you're doing well!

When you access the app's preferences, then under Backups, what do you see there when clicking Manage backups? Can you send me a screenshot?

If you try to drag-and-drop those files from the Dropbox folder back to their original folders, do you see any errors?

I have not disabled computer backup. How do I disable the computer backup?

For some reason I don't see Backup under preferences.

I also don't see the Dropbox icon on my taskbar.

Hi @dcurtis76, if you don't see your Dropbox icon on your taskbar, can you try re-installing the app?

You can disable Backup following the steps shown here

I reinstalled Dropbox and I still do not have an icon on the taskbar. I can not find a preference tab. Can I get on the phone with Technical Support and get this resolved. I've been send message back and forth for days now and we're not getting anywhere.

Hello there @dcurtis76

If you can't see the Dropbox icon close to your clock, can you please check the overflow, by pressing the upwards arrow (^)?

If you can't see it there either, it means that the app is not running.

To start it, double click the shortcut, for which you sent a screenshot of its properties, in your last reply. That should start the app, and enable the icon in your system tray.

Let us know if the app starts, after following those steps.

P.S. Phone support is only available to team admins with Dropbox business accounts.
