File Requests legal

File Requests legal

If I make a file request and send it to my public users, and then a malicious user uploads some illegal file, what happens? Does my account get banned or do I get a chance to review the files and delete the illegal ones?

Hey @eduards, thanks for posting on our Community and happy Monday!

Could you please clarify what you mean by illegal file exactly?

If you're referring to copyrighted material, you may want to have a look at this Help Center article.

I hope this helps a tad!

By illegal file I mean any file that is not allowed to be uploaded to Dropbox according to Dropbox's terms and policies.

So if we create a file request and send it to a customer and they happen to upload something illegal for whatever reason, would this be considered a violation by us or the user who uploaded the file?

Thanks for the assistance.

Thanks for clarifying that for me @eduards

As I'd hate to give you false information here, may I reach out via email to send your request to our experts?
