Files deleted out of nowhere

Files deleted out of nowhere

I'm writing this discussion out of a problem that happend in my business standard account. While I was working out of nowhere more then 2,500 files were deleted without a trace, they didn't appeard in the deleted archives option of Dropbox, or didn't appeard in the activity history, I even tried a few recovery files programs and found nothing.

These files are very crucial for the business daily operations and I need this problem resolve as soon as I can.

Hello there @hnunez842; welcome to our Community and sorry to hear about this.

When is the last time you remember seeing them in your account on our website?

Can you find any sign of them in your events page?

This is the place whee all uploads, edits and deletions are normally logged, so it should give you a hint.

Let me know what you find!

Hello Walter,

I saw them as soon as they got deleted, because we constantly work with those files.

As for the event page, no, they’re not displayed in the event page either and neither in my recycle bin.

In that case, if you're on the device you saw this happening on, could you take a look at your cache folder @hnunez842
