Files from shared folder gone, but folders are still there

Files from shared folder gone, but folders are still there

Hello there,

I use dropbox for a while and I share a folder with several other users. Inside this shared folder, there are around 50 other folders, with data, month to month, since 2016.

Recently, looking for a folder from a previous year, I've found that the specified folders are all there, but the word files inside it were all gone, since 2016, month to month, up to 2021.

All the files are gone, and it was not erased without intention since the folders are all there, and in order to erase only the files it would be necessary to enter folder to folder and erasing the specific files. It's a bug that caused a lot of problems to us, and I'm trying to figure it out if there is a way to fix it.

I have Dropbox basic account.

Anyone had the same issue, and maybe jnow how to deal with it?

Thank you!

Hi

Can you check and see if maybe they were deleted accidentally :

To restore deleted files or folders:

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click Deleted files in the left sidebar.
  3. Click on the name of the deleted file or folder you want to recover.
    • You can select multiple files or folders at once by clicking the checkbox icon
  4. Click Restore. Restorations can take time if you’re restoring a large number of files.
