Files saved locally deleted after account was closed

In prevision of my Dropbox Business account being deleted after changing employer, I saved most of my files locally to have them available on my computer (although I did not move them to another directory) before changing job. When my account was closed by my former employer,  the whole Dropbox folder was literally deleted from my Mac, and it seems like I have no way of recovering my files that were supposed to be saved on my hard drive (they are not even in the trash). Any way for me to find these files somewhere?

Hi @arlala, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

If the entire Dropbox account was deleted by the team admin, they could also have remotely wiped the Dropbox folder on your machine. 

This would prevent the ability to recover the files from the computer. You could try using a third party app or service to try to recover those missing files.
