Delete, edit, and organize
Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
Hi!
Today I accidentally deleted thousands of files. I restored them, but they don't return to Dropbox in the original structure. And earlier deleted maps and files appear again... Is it possible to restore the files as they were at 12.45 pm? And how can I get that organized?
Thanks in advance!
Hi @Crowdmedia, thanks for posting today!
If you have a paid plan, then you can use Dropbox Rewind to rollback your account, or folders, to a certain point in time using these steps.
Hope this helps!

Hi Jay,
Thanks for your respons. Very helpful! Just one more question. What happens if I adjust it back to when I deleted all documents, will all the files that were created after that time be lost?
Looking forward to your reply!
Jessica
That's correct, the folder would be as if it was before the changes were made, so any new files would no longer be there.
If there's any files you need to keep, copy them to another location away from that folder, and then perform the Rewind. You can then move them back afterwards.
