How to free up space for my Dropbox account?

I’m new at dropbox and I need to free up space for my writing and I’m not sure how to clean it out relatively quickly while making sure I can keep some of the important stuff from getting deleted. I’m constantly getting the notification that I’m over my limit for storage and I’m not sure how to change that.

Unfortunately the only way to free up space for your Dropbox account, is to delete content. 

You can see a detailed breakdown of all the content you have in your account, and how much of your quota you're using right here. 

You can always see here, how to earn some additional space too.
