I could use some advice with syncing

I recently had to delete a large number of files (around 80GB) from our DropBox account. We use this DropBox account for work and everyone's computer has to be synced for our workflow to go smoothly. I made the deletions on Friday evening so that DropBox could sync over the weekend. I just checked now and after just a few hours some of our computers have synced but several others are still busy trying to sync. They are syncing extremely slowly and I don't know if they will all be synced in time for Monday. I really don't know what to do. Before the computers are synced, it doesn't look like the non-synced computers can see new updates. The usage of DropBox is being impaired by not having everything synced. I could really use some advice on what to do.

Unfortunately @StevenI there isnt really anything you can do other than letting it sync and work its way through. 

 

It may be that things speed up as some start finishing due to the bandwidth involved.

Thank you for the help so far. I do have a follow up. On the one computer that is having issues syncing, the files that are being synced are deletions (not important files). However, this computer cannot see updates in more important files because it is so busy trying to sync the deleted files. Let's say there is this very important folder called 'Test' and we need the user on the syncing computer to see files uploaded into 'Test' even if all the deleted files haven't synced yet. Is this doable? I have both a DropBox professional account and a DropBox personal account, if that makes any difference.

 

Then, as a second question: is it possible to log into dropbox.com and see all the computers that are linked together on the account and see computer by computer which ones have synced and which ones haven't synced?

Hi @StevenI 

 

You should be able to right click on the folder which you want to sync to Dropbox quickly and select 'Sync Now'. 

 

There is no way of seeing what is up to date and what isnt I'm afraid. 

 

If its really struggling and looks stalled I'd be temped to reboot the machine.
