I have an issue with @mentioning people outside my team in comments on shared folders. Any clues?

Hi all,

I've been having issues with tagging people outside of my team in the comments section.

They have been added as a member on the folder but their name/email address never populates when inputting '@'.

It gets a bit tricky sometimes because it's easy to misspell their email and being able to tag the person can get difficult & they end up never getting notified.

Has anyone ever had this issue? Solutions? Troubleshooting?

Hi there @Post_R; welcome to the Community and thanks for using Dropbox!

If this persists after clearing your browser's cache and/or on other browsers as well, there might be a setting from your team's admin that could be causing this.

Just to make sure we're on the same page, could you please clarify if this happens on a team folder or a shared one? 

Also, are you copying and pasting the email addresses or manually inputting them?

Hi Walter,

Yes, this is on a shared folder.

I am manually putting in the email of the person who I want to tag.

I'm putting it in manually in hopes that dropbox will populate the rest of the name.

The names of everyone else on the folder, when mentioned, populates except for 1 person.

It kind of messes up workflow when having to remember their email or go back to an email and have to copy and paste from one tab to another.

I will try clearing my chache and see if that works.
