Delete, edit, and organize
Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
I have deleted many photos and documents from my iPhone and MacAir to free storage space. My devices quite syncing a couple of months ago but now I cannot reactivate this operation. How do I proceed now?
Hey @Marti4621, sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that you can always check the app's status and see if it's normally syncing in your computer's system tray/menu bar.
If you see it's still stuck after deleting those files to make up space, please reboot your computer and/or relaunch the app.
Let us know how you get on.

Thanks Walter,
I have iCloud backup. Apple notified me that DropBox is not necessary and/or it doesn't work when iCloud is in play. If my computer was wiped by an external source, would Dropbox protect my files? Would iCloud? Would neither. I expect this may happen in the near future.
Hey @Marti4621!
Dropbox can protect your files in the sense that they are stored in our servers, so in case of a deletion, we can restore your files up to 30 days to a year after they get deleted, depending on your plan.
You can read more about this here.
