Hi, I'd like to ask; I organized our folder in dropbox, why is it that it doesn't reflect on someone who has also access with it? Thanks

If the changes are appearing for you on the Dropbox site, but not for everyone else, then it means that either files are in a private folder on your account, or they aren't looking at a shared folder.

Does the folder have the two-person icon on it to indicate it was shared?

Hard to say from my current view. I think the web page access to Dropbox might have been OK, but that wasn't really tested when the problem occurred; it was the app on the desktop that wasn't working.

All, however, is now fine.

It has. I created folder on folder. The main folders are shared. I organized the folders from my end. I narrowed it down to 6 folders from lots of it. It did not appear on them the way it appears to me. @Jay @Hannah

Confirm all now works well - new files and changes visible to the other users I've checked with. And that's true for both the Dropbox web page display on Firefox browser, and for the iMac's desktop display of the files (MacOS 12.6). I hope everyone else's problem has magically disappeared too! 🙂

@bdle22, do the folders the other users access on the web, when they view it from their own accounts, also have the two-person icon on them?

Could you attach a screenshot showing the exact same folder on your machine online, and from their machine when viewing online, to confirm the differences, while hiding any personal info?

I can see that they have 5 shared folders and two private ones, and you only have 6 shared folders.

I don't know if you've shared all those folders with them either given that the name lengths are different (although it is possible to rename shared folders without it affecting everyone else).

Most likely some of the folders are not the same, you'd need to check with them if they've added the shared folders to their account, and ensure that they're a member of your own folders.

Is it also possible that even if I moved folder/s to another folder, it wont reflect the same way on their end? @Jay
