Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
I am so livid with Dropbox right now... this is 100% unacceptable.
The app is worthless garbage as it is... so poorly designed an unusable... hence why i uninstalled it.
NOW, it's uninstalled, I still see the folder is present on my computer... so I can just delete it right???????
Several forums state that, "oh just delete it!"
If I can just delete it why do i see it deleting MULTIPLE TERRABYTES OF FILES ????????? I don't have all that stored on my computer, yet it's deleting all of that when i attempt to delete the folder!!!!!!!!
Do the **bleep**ING IDIOTS who designed this not understand that I cannot risk to delete everything off the dropbox just because they don't know how to correctly design an program uninstall operation??????
This is **bleep**ing ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!
Hi @dukeeastwood, sorry to hear you're having issues with this and thanks for your feedback too.
As this Help Center article outlines, uninstalling Dropbox on your computer won't delete your Dropbox account or remove the Dropbox folder from your hard drive.
Your Dropbox folder will be a local copy of your files in Dropbox after uninstalling the desktop app and you should be safe to delete it.
I hope this helps.
