Icon? files in some folders ( mostly shared folder)

HI, I have hidden file named Icon? in some of my folders. Most of them are shared folders and one in the root folder.

Here is how the file looks like. I have this only in my mac. This file does not appear in my windows computer or on the web ui of dropbox.

Anyone knows a fix to remove these files?

Hey @Gopa N., sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

These files should be hidden normally and aren't taking up any space. Have you enabled the hidden files to be shown on your computer by any chance?

Let me know what you find!

Thank you for the reply. Yes these files are hidden but they are causing me issues as I sync some of these folders for work to a specific devices. These files even though are hidden are causing me to have errors.

Secondly these files are only present in some folders and not all folders.

I was reading that these files were identified as a bug few years ago.

Sorry to jump in here, @Gopa N.!

Have you tried to hide these files by clicking Command + Shift + . (full stop/period), to see if that helps?
