Hi,
I've stored my research documents in dropbox on my laptop desktop. It was my office laptop so yesterday during a regular MOT run, I was given a new laptop. Although my dropbox has been backed-up in One drive, I could not retrieve all the research documents. They were only on the desktop app of my previous laptop. The IT team has unfortunately wiped all the data from my old laptop. I could not find all the lost documents on my online dropbox account. Is there any way I could retrieve these files? Thanks!
Hi @tsarah323, I'd be happy to help!
Can you clarify if the files are visible in your Dropbox account when you visit our website?
If I were you, I'd also check the events page, in order for you to check if the files synced to your Dropbox account in the first place.
Let me know more of what you find.

Normally, the Desktop does not sync to Dropbox; only the items located in the local Dropbox folder will sync. If you had enabled the computer backup feature then you may have been syncing your Desktop (if you selected it), but if not, then those files wouldn't be in your Dropbox account.
