MANY Files Have Disappeared - Web

MANY Files Have Disappeared - Web

Hi there - I've been using my Dropbox account for picture storage for 6-7 years. Every time I login my folders and files have looked the same (as I organized them). I logged in last night to get a raw image of a photo I took 5 years ago and noticed that the VAST majority of my folders, files, etc. are all missing. I'm super stressed about this. I have photos from travels over 5 years to 50 countries all stored here. Can someone please help me???

Hi there - thanks for your help. It only shows two actions (both of which I took the day I posted this - this weekend). No other activity.

Are you sure you're signed in to the same account? No activity on the Events page would usually indicate a new account. When was the last time you successfully signed in to your account and were able to access your files?

Hi Rich -- that was my thought as well but I'm certain the account is correct. I only have one email address and the account info I use was stored in my LastPass. I'm very confused.

When was the last time you accessed it successfully? Accounts are often deleted due to inactivity if they remain idle for a year.

It shows that I last logged in roughly 5 months ago so definitely within the year

Hi @ImagineJPGR, could you check to see if the files are in a shared folder that isn't added to your account?

Hi there - thanks again for your continued help. Unfortunately I checked there and there's nothing in there either 😞

Thanks for the info, in order to look into this matter in more detail, would it be possible to reach out to the email associated with your forum profile?
