Missing Files

gentsandgames

I haven't logged into Dropbox for a while, and upon logging in today I see that all of my files are gone, with only a few shared files still remaining. I see nothing in the events page that would suggest a deletion. The files were quite important to me, and I'm looking for assistance in recovering them. I noticed by looking at other posts it could be due to inactivity, however I have never received any emails warning me of my files being removed due to inactivity, if it really was due to this I honestly feel cheated.

Hi @gentsandgames

Its unlikely to be due to inactivity if you still have shared folders - as when an account is deleted for inactivity the whole account is removed.

However, the flip side is that without being able to see anything at www.dropbox.com/events the files are not recoverable (they'd only be recoverable for 30 days after deletion).
