Missing files on my desktop, stuck in the dropbox

Missing files on my desktop, stuck in the dropbox

Hi. I have a problem. I recently had to bring my computer for work and had to install dropbox. When I installed it, a part of my files were uploaded on the acount of my company's dropbox. They are now stuck on this dropbox and missing on my desktop. What do I do ? 

I really need them back.

Also, the backups are disabled.

Hey @Enora, let's jump right into this! 

 

Have you checked both the app's preferences, under the Backup tab and the Backup page online, to see what you'll find there? 

 

Also, just make sure you're logged in and looking at your company's Dropbox account, since the feature would be enabled there as you mentioned.
