If you're unable to recover the files that were deleted, is there a chance that this happened more than
30 days ago?
If I were you, I'd take a look at the
events page. It should give you an overview of all the activity in your account, including file events (adds/edits/deletes), as well as adding or removing shared folders.
Let me know what you find!
