Delete, edit, and organize
Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
I am the owner of a shared folder under my personal email address, but I was also listed as a user with edit permissions under a business email address. As owner I deleted the user/editor permission, but not my owner status. Now, I cannot access the folder at all, even though I am still the owner, under my personal email address. PLEASE HELP! Cannot find an article addressing this.

Hi Lori, thanks for reaching out. The steps I followed: signed into dropbox using my business email account. Clicked on folder (that I since lost access to). On the right, under "Share" clicked on the link icon. Box pops up on upper left to share the folder. At top, I clicked "6 people have access" and list of the 6 persons and their permissions pops up. I was on the list twice, once under my business email address as a user/editor, and once under my personal email address as the owner. I could not see why I should be listed twice, and wanted to remain the owner, so removed myself under the business email/user/editor.
I have a second, different dropbox folder, as owner, that I access using my personal email address and can still access it fine. I obviously made a mistake in deleting my access to the other folder under my business email address, but thought that since I was listed as owner under my personal email address, I could use that address to access both folders. Now, when I sign into dropbox using my business email address, there are no folders.

No, I cannot see the missing folder using my personal email sign-in, which is the problem because I am the owner of that folder under my personal email. Did check deleted files.
