Password protect the Dropbox folder while using the app

Password protect the Dropbox folder while using the app

This idear is ment as an security option to Dropbox

Dropbox can be accesed via Explorer (the file maneger tool) in Windows.  (Back in the day Dropbox had it's own great file maneger).

I share the computer with my wife, I have nothing to hide, but I'm afraid my Dropbox-files are not secure on my second SSD (as I clean up and move around and do silly things now and then). So my idear is:

Make it possible to password-protect the Dropbox folder, so only by entering some login credentials, the stuff can be accessed.

Security level: 2fac and password.

thanks

Hi @knudkp, currently it wouldn't be possible to password protect the Dropbox folder as it is a normal folder on your Explorer/Finder, which can't be protected the same way.

We appreciate all feedback on how to improve the Dropbox service.
