Pictures and files thumbnails are showing x's

All of my pictures and documents are showing thumbnail x's. Keeps showing that there is a error message, saying that it could be corrupted. Please help me!!!  I am on HP Envy, on Windows 7. Been like this for about 1 month or so.

Are the files that show the x icon online-only files?

If so, can you switch them to local, by right clicking on them, choosing Smart sync and then 'local', to see if that helps?

No that didn't help. Doesn't give me that option. just shows a "X" on the lower left corner.

I see. Can you please try the steps in this thread and let me know if they help?

Just keep in mind, on the fifth step, instead of the Space bar key, try using the alt+H keys.
