Can you please let me know the exact steps you take to edit this file and clarify if you're getting a particular error or message?
I see you're using a web browser, do you get the same results if you use the Dropbox mobile app and offline or export the file first?

Does it happen with only a specific file or is it affecting all of your word documents?
Have you tried exporting it first?

Hi Walter I've copied over from another file in dropbox
When you say file, I assume you were actually referring to a folder - is that correct @Jizzum1?
If that's so, are you the owner of the original folder and/or file?
