Recover or restore deleted files from deleted folder?

So, I was receiving an error message that my dropbox was full and decided to delete the files so I could start fresh.  I thought these files were a copy of what was on my hard drive but they weren't copies.  They were the original files.  I deleted them from dropbox then had to delete them again from the deleted folder in order for my dropbox account to release the space back to me.  Now, I fear I've lost them for good but am hoping against all hope that they can be recovered since it was only earlier today that this happened.

I'm afraid that if you also deleted the content from within your deleted files, then you erased the files for good. 

In that case, there's nothing that can be done to recover the missing content.
