Recover permanently deleted files Dropbox Plus

Recover permanently deleted files Dropbox Plus

ArnaldoTema
New member | Level 2

Hi, on 04/05/2020 I've deleted all my files from dropbox and today - 02/07/2020 - I need to retrieve them back.
I know Dropbox only stores excluded files for 30 days and this is almost 60 days after. But given I was a Dropbox Plus user I'd like to know if it would still be possible to retrieve these files.

Thanks in advance

Hey @ArnaldoTema, thanks for checking in with us.

If you permanently deleted these files, then you wouldn't be able to restore them as they are not recoverable.

Also, since Basic and Plus accounts both have a version history of 30 days, if the files have been deleted for a longer time period than that, then they wouldn't be recoverable as they would have exceeded the number of days available to restore them

You can find more information about deleted files in this article

I hope this helps but let me know if you have any other questions, cheers!

Hey there @Prabhakaran, thanks for joining us here!

If your files were deleted that long ago then I'm afraid we wouldn't be able to assist you with restoring these files. We would only be able to restore files that had been deleted within your account's version history window.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news here, but please let me know if you have any questions!
