I want to remove the PC backup from my Dropbox, because my desktop app says that the memory is full. I followed a suggested solution saying that I need to go to preferences -> backups -> manage backup. However I can not find this 'manage backup' section in the desktop app. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you for your reply. Somehow my layout changed in the desktop app and now I the 'manage backups' appeared. My problem is solved!

Dropbox has caused me so much pain. I installed the Dropbox desktop app, and somehow it backed up my PC namely (Desktop, Downloads and Documents folders).
Then, because I didn't notice, these were more than 2GB which now can't sync. Additionally, after uninstalling it, I couldn't save anything in the above-mentioned folders and I kept getting the above error. I installed another instance, which seems to work. But I don't seem to be able to revert these changes made by Dropbox of backing up the PC.
How can I get a revert to my normal operations? this is affecting my productivity significantly!
Hi @maxwellfundi, let's jump right into this!
Is our desktop app installed to the affected device while we speak? If so, have you tried the steps mentioned here, in order to disable your Computer backup, which was accidentally enabled based on what you mentioned?
If you don't have the app on the computer, can you check your Backups page and see if you can remove it from there?
Keep me posted!
