Restore Desktop

AeroProd
Explorer | Level 3

After our free trial ended, Dropbox "cleaned up" the desktop, consolidating all folders there into one.  How do I restore everything back to the desktop?  When you drag a folder back to the desktop it says it's copying it.

Hi @AeroProd, thanks for posting on the Community!

Do you know if you've enabled the computer backup feature on your device?

What folder have all the files been consolidated into?

Are you able to recover any deleted files from the site?

This will help me to assist further!

@jay I think that's what my coworker did when she clicked the link to join me on the trial.  (It keeps saying that her Dropbox is full since the trial ended.)

The folder is "My Files on Dropbox" that was auto-created.

We haven't deleted anything to try and recover.

Could you check if the computer backup feature has been disabled?

Are you able to move files out of the Dropbox folder to elsewhere on your machine?
