Saving document to one location (path) on two different computers.

Saving document to one location (path) on two different computers.

This seems to be a fairly recent problem. We use Dropbox so original documents being generated on one computer can be edited and refined on a second computer. The edited/refined documents are then saved to be re-opened again on the document origin computer. The problem is the path when saving. One computer automatically saves to one location but the other computer saves to a different path. One computer saves to Desktop where as the other is saved to This PC/C:/Windows/Users/our name/Dropbox. How do I get both to automatically save to only one location. I really don't have a preference, but the main computer is the one saving to Windows/Users etc.

Any guidance will be appreciated...in the simplest terms, as I am not that tech savvy...though I have a working understanding of most procedures.

Hi @cflynn825, thanks for your message.

Could you clarify why the location of the Dropbox folder affects the files you're trying to edit?

Even if the Dropbox folder is stored elsewhere on another machine, it wouldn't affect how files sync.

This will help me to assist further!
