Solved - Coworker accidentally removed their access and now shared files are gone

My coworker was trying to set up Dropbox on an external drive, but something went wrong without his knowledge, and now the bulk of our work files are seemingly disappeared. We've had mass deletion events happen before, but those files always turn up in the deleted files section and are easily restored-- not so, this time. We checked the Events page and saw "[Coworker] has removed their access to a shared folder," which is when everything was seemingly deleted for everyone on our team. We don't know how to regain access, now, because it looks like there's nothing there. We tried Rewind but that didn't do anything (except delete some newer files we had been syncing prior to this event).

I see this has happened to other DB users before and their files were able to be recovered, but they needed direct Dropbox support for that to happen. We are on multiple tight deadlines and need these files recovered ASAP.

*EDIT - Dropbox support reached out and helped us resolve this. The files were there, just not visible to us due to the access/permissions issue stated in the post. Thank you!
