Uninstalled Dropbox but there is still a folder? I can't remove it either??

I've uninstalled Dropbox from my pc about a year ago. Ever since I uninstalled I had this folder in my main drive. I can delete it but then my whole desktop and other things get removed too? When I open the folder it says that there's nothing inside, but when I delete it, it says that it's removing Gb's of data. How do I remove this folder completly without removing anything else?

Hi. It depends if this folder consists of files you use usually or not. Anyhow, go to your options on Windows and make sure you see all the files even hidden. Maybe than you will see stuff. If not, install dropbox again, see what is going on there, copy everything you need and then delete the folder without being frightened that you might delete things you need.

You can get a picture of what is inside the hidden folder. What should I do now? And my whole desktop is on the dropbox folder?

Got it. Open those things. Open desktop. Open documents. See if you need anything that is kept there. If so - copy it to your current folders of use. If not just erase them and put an end to the mass. 😁

The folder is like connected to my own folder. If I delete something in the Dropbox folder, then it also gets deleted in the original folder?
