WILL ERASING FILES LOCALLY FROM COMPUTER MAKE THEM DISAPPEAR FROM DROPBOX??

I have 2 laptops, one main (A) and one reserve (B). Laptop A has a busted screen and might have some more hardware damage, which means I have to turn it in for repairs and troubleshooting with the insurance company's provider. I have saved important files and documents from laptop A in dropbox so I can access them from laptop B. My question (might be a dumb one) is that if the technicians erase laptop A, will these files disappear from dropbox and laptop B?

If you delete files from the Dropbox folder, then files would sync from the Dropbox site and any connected device.
 
Depending on how they delete the computer, it might be best to unlink the computer first.
