Dropbox doesnt offer unlimited storage @Anniebanannie unless you have a specific business plan with multiple licences?

In terms of empty files / folders how do you mean? We need a bit more info. If its empty folders on the website have you given Dropbox time to upload everything? It takes time and Dropbox creates a folder structure first and then populates with files

Ah, yes, it used to be called Unlimited, but it's 2TB now.

There are numerous folders -- and the files go back 10 years or so...

Dropbox has never ever offered unlimited - 2TB used to be the 1TB plan. Plus and Professional are the plan names.

If they are empty what does www.dropbox.com/events show? Do you still have quota?

Are they still on your machine?

It seems that the files on my desktop are also empty, but they weren't before... and they weren't deleted.) I don't know what you mean by Events

Hi @Anniebanannie, welcome to our Community!

Is it possible that you have two Dropbox accounts, by any chance?

The Events page at www.dropbox.com/events gives you an overview of all activity in your account including files events (adds/edits/deletes), as well as adding or removing shared folders. Can you take a look there, and let me know what you'll find there?

Thanks!
