Dear sirs, please stop converting PDF files to links when attaching from Dropbox on mobile devices. Its a totally unnecessary inconvenience. Not all recipients can open the link, not all businesses allow links to be clicked on. This is not an issue on PC's. Why convert documents to be converted back on the other end? I'm surprised this problem hasn't been corrected long ago.
Hey @JLB 1906, thanks for posting on our Community and sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Could you please clarify the exact steps you take to do this? For example, are you exporting the file to your device before attaching it to your emails etc? Or maybe you're sharing it through the app directly?
Any additional information or screenshots would be much appreciated!

When sending a PDF document document as an attachment from a mobile device Dropbox converts that document into a link instead of leaving it as a PDF. From a PC this does not happen.
When you say you send a PDF file as an attachment, could you go through the exact steps that result in this @JLB 1906?

Now I see why its not fixed.
I often send PDFs (and other files) from Dropbox on mobile devices and they're not converted to links.
There are multiple ways to send a file from Dropbox via email, one of which results in an attached file, while another results in a link to the file being created. Walter is asking for the steps you followed to know how you're trying to attach the file and to determine if there's a better way, or if there's a problem with how you're doing it.
When I do it (on iOS) the best option is to export the file to your mail app. This will open a new email with the file attached to the message; not a link to the file on Dropbox.
